role in the creation of an American national identity in the early  
20th century. Art colonies in Old Lyme and Cos Cob, Connecticut and  
Ogunquit and Monhegan, Maine were inspiration for nationally  
recognized artists including Edward Hopper, Childe Hassam, Robert  
Henri, and George Bellows, among others. The exhibition will chronicle  
the development of impressionist Connecticut and modernist Maine and  
will feature 74 works drawn from the collections of the Portland  
Museum of Art and the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Connecticut.

A area! FOX23's Make Me An Idol sponsored by Q97.9 FM will be held on  
June 27th from 10 a.m. to noon (first-come, first-served) at the  
Auburn Mall. The prize for our 7th annual local singing competition is  
a guaranteed audition for Season 9. FOX23 provides travel &  
accommodations for the winner and a friend to one of the official,  
national audition cities. This year, the winner flies to Orlando,  
Florida on July 8th for the July 9th audition at Amway Arena. (FOX23  
pays hotel and airfare for the initial audition and leaves any  
callback expenses to the local winner.) Competitors must be between
